Deepak’s Entertainment Ventures

While Nath Companies is operating at peak scale, Deepak is building his own parallel universe of entrepreneurship. While Shalini was still in her MBA program at St. Thomas, she wrote a research paper analyzing the business plan for a nightclub venture — and her analysis ultimately led her to conclude the concept had tremendous potential. In 2002, Deepak and other partners opened Fahrenheit Nightclub together on First Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. The portfolio would eventually grow to include Bootleggers, The Pourhouse, The Exchange, and The Lumber Exchange Event Center.
