India House — The First Venture

In 1971, Mahendra and Asha launched India House, a retail store near the University of Minnesota. By the time they sold it in 1976, it had grown to two locations. Around that same time, there was also a computer company venture in the mix. What is clear is that Asha and Mahendra were building the habit of entrepreneurship long before Nath Companies had a name.
