Deepak Joins — The Entrepreneur of the Next Generation

In 1996, Deepak Nath joins the company after graduating from Babson College with a degree in Entrepreneurial Studies. He starts at Burger King — at the drive-through window, asking customers "Welcome to Burger King, can I take your order?" Mahendra and Asha gave all three of their children the same title of project manager and paid them the same salary, purposely, to avoid the complicated dynamics that arise in family businesses. Deepak quickly discovers that restaurant operations are not his calling and pivots.
